The Philadelphia Flyers have signed forward Porter Martone to a three-year, entry-level contract, it was announced Sunday afternoon.

He will join the Flyers for the remainder of the 2025-26 season.

The 19-year-old was selected No. 6 overall by the Flyers in this past summer’s draft. He is Philadelphia’s first draft pick from last year to sign an ELC.

Martone played this past season at Michigan State University, tallying 25 goals and 50 points in 35 games. The Spartans were defeated by Wisconsin this weekend, sending the Badgers to the Frozen Four and ending MSU’s season.

A native of Peterborough, Ont., Martone captained Canada at the 2026 World Junior Championship in Minnesota and ranked first among all skaters with six goals en route to a bronze medal finish. He also played in three games during the 2025 World Juniors.

Martone spent the previous four seasons before Michigan State in the Ontario Hockey League, playing most recently with the Brampton Steelheads.
