Connor Bedard sets new career-high in points with 68 for the Chicago Blackhawks in 2025-26 season. Milestone comes in loss to New Jersey Devils as young core shows flashes.

Connor Bedard reached a new career-high in points Sunday night, but the milestone came in a losing effort as the Chicago Blackhawks dropped a 5-3 decision to the New Jersey Devils.

The 20-year-old center now sits at 68 points (30 goals, 38 assists) through 61 games this season, surpassing his previous career best of 67 points set over 82 games in 2024-25. Bedard accomplished the feat while continuing to drive play on a young, rebuilding roster.

The milestone arrived during a game that also featured strong nights from other young Blackhawks. Frank Nazar recorded a multi-goal game, and Anton Frondell notched his first multi-point game. Despite the individual highlights, Chicago could not overcome the Devils on the road.

Bedard’s consistency has been a bright spot all season. He reached the 30-goal mark for the first time in his young career and continues to play heavy minutes while facing top competition. At his current pace, he remains on track for a potential 90-plus point season if he stays healthy down the stretch.
