*Okay before we get to the thing, last night the Flyers went to overtime (WOW SHOCKING) against the Dallas Stars and walked away with a win thanks to Trevor “Clutchtime” Zegras. RECAP!

*And then on Saturday night, the boys absolutely crushed it in Detroit. A positively Laughton-like performance. RECAP!

*Owen Tippett, specifically, had himself a heck of a hockey game. [Inquirer]

*Okay whatever that’s great and all but what we really want to talk about is the fact that PORTER MARTON IS A PHILADELPHIA FLYERS. [BSH]

*Word on the street is that we might see Martone TOMORROW. Which would be so freaking cool. [PHLY]

*Danny Briere met with the media after the signing to set everyone’s expectations. [BSH]

*Of course the reason we are being gifted with this is that Michigan State kinda blew it in their loss to Wisconsin over the weekend. [BSH]

*Naturally we got right to work speculating about which line Martone should be playing on if he enters the lineup tomorrow night. [BSH]

*Also kind of huge news this weekend? Tyson Foerster was skating with the team. [BSH]

*If Foerster IS somehow able to make it back much sooner than expected, what will having a shiny new toy on the wing mean for his game? [BSH]

*Alright there’s other stuff too. Like Alex Bump, who is poised to play a big part in whatever remains of the Flyers’ playoff push. [The Athletic]

*He’s not the only one, though. A few of the Flyers Young Kids have really been stepping up of late and keeping this team technically in the mix. [BSH]

*Speaking of Young Kids, Cole Knuble made his Phantoms debut this weekend and looked pretty solid. [BSH]

*Looking ahead to the summer… clearly the Flyers aren’t going to be able to get that Big Name they need in the free agency market, since hockey players are boring and all of them have already signed with their current teams. So that begs the question: does Danny B. have enough arrows in the quiver to pull of a big spicy trade? [BSH]

*It’s always fun to revisit your preseason predictions, which is what the folks over at the failing New York Times decided to do this weekend. [The Athletic]

*And finally, because you knew he couldn’t stay away for long: our old pal Torts is back behind the bench. Good luck, Golden Knights fans. [TSN]
