Boston Bruins center Pavel Zacha has been simply dominating for the Original Six club as of late. Because of this, he has now been rewarded in a major way.

Zacha has been named the NHL’s Second Star of the Week ending March 29. When looking at how well Zacha played during it, there is no question that he has earned it.

Zacha was simply fantastic for the Bruins this past week, as he had five goals, three assists, and eight points in four games. With numbers like these, Zacha has been a significant reason for the Bruins’ ongoing three-game winning streak.

Zacha kicked off his week by recording an assist against the Toronto Maple Leafs on March 24. From there, Zacha recorded a goal and an assist against the Buffalo Sabres on March 25. He then scored two goals against the Minnesota Wild on March 28 before recording two goals and an assist in the Bruins’ most recent contest against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

With numbers like these, it is apparent that Zacha was simply fantastic for the Bruins this week. He now has 28 goals, 31 assists, and 59 points in 71 games this season. It will be fascinating to see how he builds on these numbers during the final stretch of the campaign from here.
