General manager Jim Nill agreed to a contract extension with the club, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported on Tuesday.
Terms of the deal have not yet been reported.
The 67-year-old Nill has been GM of the Stars since April 2013. He has won the Jim Gregory General Manager of the Year Award in each of the last three seasons.
Under Nill’s watch, the Stars have made the playoffs in eight of the 12 seasons, including a current streak of three straight conference finals and a Stanley Cup Final appearance in 2020.
The Stars (44-18-12) currently sit second in the tough Central Division with 100 points in 74 games. They trail only division rival Colorado Avalanche in the overall league standings.
