COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — The Columbus Blue Jackets host the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday, trying to shake a losing streak and solidify its postseason position.
The Blue Jackets have lost three straight games, including Sunday’s third period collapse against Boston, and are now clinging to the final wild-card spot in the NHL’s Eastern Conference.
Columbus holds a slim two-point lead over Ottawa, Detroit, and Philadelphia in the wild-card standings.
Following Tuesday’s game, Columbus will travel to Carolina to take on the Hurricanes on Thursday. After that, it’s a back-and-forth schedule for the team’s final six regular season games.
The Blue Jackets’ final home game of the regular season will be Tuesday, April 14, when they host the Washington Capitals.
