The Chicago Blackhawks (27-34-13) return home following their four-game East Coast road trip and host Jonathan Toews and the Winnipeg Jets (31-30-12) at the United Center on Tuesday. It’s the fourth and final meeting of the 2025-26 regular season between the two Central Division foes.

The Jets have won two of the first three matchups this year, defeating the Blackhawks 6-3 (Oct. 30) and 3-2 in overtime (Mar. 3) at Canada Life Centre. Chicago claimed a 2-0 victory over Winnipeg on home ice on Jan. 19, with Spencer Knight stopping all 32 shots faced to record the shutout. That night was also Toews’ first trip back to the United Center as a member of the opposing team. You may also remember Caleb Williams and Pete Crow-Armstrong sitting on the glass and coming into the Blackhawks’ locker room after the win.

Last time out, the Blackhawks saw a late 3-2 lead vanish in a hurry, giving up two goals in 19 seconds in the third period en route to a 5-3 loss to the New Jersey Devils on Sunday. Frank Nazar had his first career multi-goal game, while Ilya Mikheyev also found the back of the net. Anton Frondell recorded two assists for his first career multi-point effort. Jack Hughes tallied four points (2G, 2A) to lead the Devils to the come-from-behind win.

The Jets are coming off an impressive 4-2 road win over the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday and have now earned a point in seven of their last nine outings. Gabriel Vilardi, Cole Koepke, Cole Perfetti, and Kyle Connor (EN) were the goal scorers in the game for Winnipeg. Connor Hellebuyck stopped 21 of 23 shots faced to record the win in net.

With 74 points through 73 games this season, the Jets are only three points behind the Nashville Predators for the second and final Wild Card playoff spot in the Western Conference. However, the Los Angeles Kings (76 points), Seattle Kraken (75 points), and San Jose Sharks (75 points) all sit ahead of them, with Seattle and San Jose both having one fewer game played. Every game feels like a must-win for Winnipeg from here on out.

Here’s everything else to note before the puck drops at 7:30 p.m. CT in Chicago.
