Six-foot-eight Elmer Soderblom’s time with the Detroit Red Wings was defined by the frustration the organization and fan based felt because he never embraced the idea of using his size to be a more effective player

No one expected the 248-pound Soderblom to be a heavy hitter or a player who dropped the gloves often. However, if he used his size occasionally, he might still be in Detroit.

But this video below demonstrates he has shown a different side since joining the Pittsburgh Penguins. They play the Red Wings tonight in Pittsburgh.
