Lukas Dostal (29-16-3, 3.03 GAA, .893 SV%) vs. Alex Nedeljkovic (14-13-4, 2.95 GAA, .895 SV%)
Dostál had a solid 6-3 record in March, but the underlying numbers weren’t great, posting a 3.07 GAA and .889 SV% while allowing 3 plus goals in 7 of 10 starts. He was also pulled in his last outing against the Sharks after giving up 4 goals on 9 shots. Still, Dostál owns a 3-1-0 career record with a 2.60 GAA and a .902 SV% against San Jose.
Nedeljkovic picked up his first win since March 14, stopping 22 of 24 shots against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday. He last faced the Ducks on Jan. 23, 2025, allowing 4 goals on 33 shots faced in a loss. Still, Nedeljkovic has been solid in the matchup, going 2-1-0 with a 1.99 GAA and .915 SV%.
Ducks at Sharks picks and predictionsPrediction
Ducks 4, Sharks 3
BET DUCKS (-110).
The Ducks have hit their stride, powered by a young core that continues to take a leap. Carlsson and Gauthier are driving the offense, with support from C Mason McTavish and a blue line that’s added stability and scoring punch.
On the other side, the Sharks are still dealing with growing pains, especially defensively and in late-game situations. Their lack of depth and inconsistency make it tough to trust them against a more complete Ducks team. Anaheim’s balance and scoring ability should be enough to get it done.
PASS. No interest.
BET OVER 6.5 (-125).
The Over has hit in the last 3 meetings between the Ducks and Sharks, including both matchups this season that produced 9 and 13 goals. Even with some inconsistency in each team’s recent totals, these games tend to open up offensively. With both teams capable of scoring and recent history backing it, this sets up well for another game to clear the number.
