The Anaheim Ducks will be without their leading scorer for at least one game.
Cutter Gauthier has an upper-body injury and did not travel with the Ducks for Wednesday’s game against the San Jose Sharks, the team announced on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old will be considered day-to-day moving forward.
Gauthier suffered the injury in Monday’s overtime loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
He didn’t see the ice after scoring his 38th goal of the season at 9:46 of the first period. He was cross-checked just before scoring by Leafs defenceman Jake McCabe.
The second-year winger has 38 goals and 27 assists in 73 games this season for the Pacific Division-leading Ducks.
