The Colorado Avalanche have signed Matthew DiMarsico to a two-year entry-level contract.
DENVER — The Colorado Avalanche have signed a Penn State University forward, the club announced on Monday.
Colorado and Matthew DiMarsico agreed to a two-year entry-level contract that will begin in the 2026-27 season. DiMarsico will join the Colorado Eagles for the remainder of the 2025-26 season.
During the 2025-26 season with the Nittany Lions, DiMarsico recorded 42 points (18 goals and 24 assists) in 37 games. DiMarsico ranked second on the team in points and led the club in goals.Â
In three seasons with Penn State, the Wexford, Pennsylvania native recorded 100 points (42 goals and 58 assists) during 111 NCAA games. The Nittany Lions have qualified for the NCAA Tournament during the last two seasons and made it as far as the National Semifinal during the 2024-25 season.
During the 2025 postseason run, the 6-foot 181-pound forward scored an overtime goal that advanced Penn State to it’s first Frozen Four in the program’s history.
