The Boston Bruins picked up a huge 6-3 home win over the Dallas Stars on Tuesday.
Boston was led by Viktor Arvidsson, who recorded a hat trick as part of a third-period surge. The Bruins were up 2-0 after the first period, but Dallas scored twice in the second to enter the third period tied.
Yet, in the third, Boston scored three-straight, before Wyatt Johnston made it 5-3, before Arvidsson scored an empty netter for his hat trick, who credits the team having fun for their success.
“I think we have fun together, and we put a lot of emphasis on being hard on each other, really pushing each other,” Arvidsson said on Tuesday as seen on NESN’s postgame coverage. “I think in that regard, we’re really happy where we are.”
Bruins head coach Marco Sturm, meanwhile, is pleased with how the team is playing down the stretch run.
“It always seems like we play better when we’re playing against better teams,” Sturm said. “For us, the playoffs already started a long time ago. I think that’s a good thing about our team right now – we want to get challenged right now.”
The Bruins will return to the ice on Thursday on the road against the Florida Panthers.
