Leo Carlsson is enjoying a massive breakout campaign for the Anaheim Ducks, leading the team in points per game and slotting second in shots per game.
My Ducks vs. Sharks predictions expect Carlsson to be front and center against San Jose tonight — even more so in the absence of Cutter Gauthier.

Leo Carlsson is averaging a healthy 2.6 shots on goal per game. That number rises noticeably in favorable matchups, with the star pivot producing an average of 3.2 shots when facing Bottom-10 shot suppression teams.
The San Jose Sharks sit 29th in shots allowed per game and 28th in limiting shots to centers. It’s a mouthwatering matchup for Carlsson, making it no coincidence he’s cleared this line in both meetings with San Jose this season.
The Anaheim Ducks’ leading shot generator, Cutter Gauthier, is also sidelined with an injury. With even more on his shoulders, Gauthier’s absence could lead to additional volume for Carlsson.
