We have an interesting update regarding the Montreal Canadiens players. Canadiens management made an unusual logistical decision following the win against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The team plane did not leave Florida last night after the game. It should be noted that NHL clubs usually take off immediately after a road game.
But in this case, the Canadiens organization preferred to keep everyone at the hotel for a full night.
We really don’t dislike this different approach.
Traveling in the middle of the night completely disrupts the sleep cycle of some players who are unable to rest on the plane, so delaying the departure greatly helps physical recovery in these cases, especially after such a demanding game.
The Montreal Canadiens are once again not afraid to do things differently
Today, the Montreal Canadiens players are enjoying a true day off under the warm Florida sun, no less!
A day off for the Canadiens today. They will fly this afternoon from Tampa to New York, where they will face the Rangers tomorrow night.

So we’re talking about a rare afternoon flight for the players.
A highly anticipated matchup against the New York Rangers is next on the schedule tomorrow night.
Arriving at the hotel in the early hours of the morning always complicates the following day, so management is eliminating that extra fatigue here with this different travel plan.
So don’t expect any updates or anything of that sort today from the Montreal Canadiens.
Everyone is enjoying a well-deserved day off.
