DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) – Bulldogs goaltender Adam Gajan has signed an entry level contract with the Chicago Blackhawks. Gajan was the Blackhawks’ 2nd round pick in 2023 and will now turn pro after two seasons with UMD.
Gajan had a strong sophomore season minding the net for the Bulldogs. The 21-year-old Slovakian allowed 2.25 goals per game and saved 90% of shots on goal while posting two shutouts. Gajan was also selected to represent Slovakia in the winter Olympics.
The Bulldogs will likely turn to junior Ethan Dahlmeier in between the pipes in the 2026-2027 season.
