We open up NHL predictions with our featured game between the Colorado Avalanche and the Dallas Stars. Colorado is expected to give Mackenzie Blackwood the start in this game. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. The Avs are 5-4-1 in their last 10 games and are without All-World defenceman Cale Makar. This game will represent the 1,000th consecutive game that veteran blueliner Brent Burns has played in.
Jake Oettinger is the projected starter for Dallas, which is 3-5-2 in its last 10 games. However, the Stars did pick up an important victory over the Winnipeg Jets last time out. Wyatt Johnston has the team’s lead in goals this season with 41. The Stars have a chance to win the season series over the Avalanche with a victory.
Colorado is still a talented team without Makar. However, Dallas should register the win.
Prediction: Stars win 4-3.
