The San Jose Sharks host the Chicago Blackhawks tonight and the Sharks most definitely need a win against a team that’s out of the playoff race, especially if the Sharks want to stay in the race. As of this afternoon, the Sharks are two points out of a playoff spot but have a game in hand.

In other words, the team has a shot, but the margins are getting thinner every day and winning is starting to get more and more important.
The Blackhawks would love to play spoiler, especially because it would show that Chicago’s rebuild is going just fine. The Blackhawks are wrapping up the team’s roadtrip after beating the Seattle Kraken 4-2 on Saturday.
The Blackhawks beat the Sharks 6-3 on Feb. 2. This is the second of three meetings between the two teams.
