It’s like they decided to make it abundantly clear the juice is gone.

Here is what constitutes a highlight package for one of the teams in this game:

Game Notes

What a mess. Just…what a mess.

The Kraken penalty kill saw that teams were starting to overtake them in the suck department, and saw that today of all days, with the need to do just about anything positive staring them down the barrel of this game’s outcome, they proceeded to put on an absolute disasterclass of a performance. The Jets went 3-for-3 on the power play and Seattle’s night was basically done from that point on.

Philipp Grubauer sustained a lower body injury tonight, and did not return to the game. Given how his season has gone, especially given how well he’s managed the squad in front of him…that’s just a heartbreaker, dude. I really hope he recovers quickly.

That steal from Kaapo Kakko on Koepke was so smooth. I know they need so, so, so much more but I really like how Kakko’s game has evolved post-olympics. He seems so much more confident with the puck.

It’s probably not a great thing that the Kraken are still tied at the hip to Jordan Eberle in 2026 to get any offense done, but while he’s here, it’s nice to see him doing things.

Oscar Fisker-Mølgaard is doing a lot of the right things right now. While he’s not exactly lighting the lamp, he is the platonic ideal of a rookie learning the ropes; showing plenty of promise, controlling puck movement when he’s on-ice, and generally being a positive when he’s not dealing with rookie jitters, and he did have some of those. Just settle down, bud. You were the best player on the ice in a Kraken uniform when it came to puck possession. Just let your game settle at this level and thrive.

Both goalies finished their nights with an .833 SV%. It is a fair assessment of the team in front of them and of their nights. Even if some of the goals were just cruel happenstance.

Not much changed about their odds according to Tankathon, but they are still in a decent spot to potentially get a top 5 pick.

Was there anything good about this game?

Jared McCann got on the board thanks to a sweet steal by Kaapo Kakko.

Jordan Eberle got the Kraken on the board first, and thus should always be commended for trying,.

Draft Pick’s lookin’ great bay beeeeeeeeee-

Season’s almost over. This has been a slog, I’m gonna be real. Watching this team that showed so much promise look this completely useless has been so frustrating. Yes, I know analytically they were doomed, but we like doomed things. Like expeditions to the arctic!

Can you guess which team had goal support from their special teams today?

The Kraken play Minnesota today. That game is at 5pm.

Let’s all hope for the best. Or the worst!

Keep Calm, and Post Zoidberg When We Win.
