The Edmonton Oilers look to claim sole possession of first place in the Pacific Division standings on Tuesday night when they kick off their final road trip of the season against the Utah Mammoth in NHL betting action at Delta Center.

The Oilers saw a five-game win streak halted with Saturday’s 5-1 loss to the visiting Vegas Golden Knights, but remain deadlocked with Anaheim atop the divisional standings, one point up on Utah and Vegas.

The Mammoth have remained in the hunt for the top of the Pacific by completing the sweep of their recent road trip, extending their current away win streak to five games, but have struggled on home ice, posting just one win in their past seven appearances.

Despite their recent home ice woes, the Mammoth has emerged as slim -125 favourites on Tuesday’s NHL odds. The Oilers trail as +105 underdogs and the total is pegged at 6.5.

Oilers vs. Mammoth NHL Betting Odds

The Oilers topped the Mammoth in their first two meetings of the season, capped by a 5-2 victory in Utah on March 24, extending their current head-to-head win streak to five, with each of their past five victories coming by multi-goal margins.

Indeed, the Oilers have regularly run up the score when facing Utah, potting 5.20 goals per game, extending a steady run for the OVER, which has gone 7-1-2 in their past 10 meetings.

Conversely, the Mammoth have mustered just two goals per game over that same stretch.

The Oilers have also potted 3.33 goals per game during their current 5-1-0 run, but with sniper Leon Draisaitl sidelined by injury, the club has scored just seven total goals over the past three games.

Things have gone far better for the Mammoth attack, which has scored 19 times during the club’s three-game win streak. But Utah has been lit up for four goals per game while losing seix of seven at home.

Edmonton Oilers

The absence of Draisaitl may have finally caught up to the Oilers. The German superstar has now missed nine games due to a lower body injury, putting the pressure on the club’s supporting cast to fill the offensive void.

Connor McDavid has failed to score in each of his past two outings, and saw a six-game points streak snapped in Saturday’s loss to Vegas. However, the Oilers captain has scored four times during a three-game goalscoring streak on the road.

Rearguard Evan Bouchard has heated up, with two markers and eight assists over the past seven games including a three-assist effort versus Utah last month. But the Oilers must find a way to be more productive out of the gate after scoring first-period goals in just one of their past four contests.

Utah Mammoth

With five of their final six games coming on home ice, and with the club now within striking distance of the top of the division, the Mammoth should have no shortage of motivation on Tuesday night.

The Mammoth have been getting steady production out of some of their biggest stars during their late-season charge for the top of the standings. Clayton Keller is coming off a three-goal, one-assist performance in Saturday’s 7-4 win in Vancouver and has piled up three goals and seven helpers during a four-game tear.

Dylan Guenther has also found a higher gear while compiling four goals and four assists in four games, while rearguard Mikhail Sergachev has regularly played setup man while recording nine assists in four games.
