Rasmus Dahlin has been selected as the Buffalo Sabres’ representative for the 2026 Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy, which is given “to the NHL player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey.”
The Professional Hockey Writers Association nominates one player from each team for the annual award.
The winner will be announced later this spring.
Dahlin seeks to become the third Sabres player to win the award. Former Sabres Don Luce (1975) and Pat LaFontaine (1995) were previous winners. Dahlin is having a career year with 18 goals and 52 assists.
This season, the former first-overall pick has led the Sabres to their first Stanley Cup Playoffs appearance since 2011, breaking a 14-year postseason drought.
