James Hagens signs entry-level contract with Bruins

MANCHESTER, N.H. —

James Hagens has been called up by the Boston Bruins.

The Bruins signed Hagens, the No. 7 overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, to a three-year entry-level contract Wednesday.

He played six games with the Providence Bruins, recording one goal and three assists.

Before turning pro, Hagens spent two seasons at Boston College.

Hagens is expected to practice with the team Thursday and could make his NHL debut Saturday when the Bruins face the Tampa Bay Lightning at TD Garden.
