Jordan Binnington has been named the St. Louis Blues’ nominee for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy, an award given annually to the player who best represents perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey.

Binnington’s nomination reflects his continued importance to the Blues as both a leader and a dependable presence in net. At 32 years old, he remains a central figure for St. Louis, especially as the team continues to develop a younger core. His ability to handle pressure and stay consistent through ups and downs has defined much of his career and helped stabilize the team during key moments.

His most iconic moment came during the 2019 Stanley Cup Finals, when he helped lead the Blues to their first Stanley Cup championship. That run solidified his place in franchise history and showcased the resilience that still defines his game today. What made that stretch even more remarkable was how quickly he rose to the occasion, stepping into a starting role and delivering under intense pressure.

Since then, Binnington has continued to build his legacy, becoming the franchise leader in games played and wins among goaltenders. His durability and competitiveness have allowed him to remain a key piece of the team year after year, even as the roster around him has changed.

He has also represented Canada internationally, earning a gold medal at the 4 Nations Face Off in 2025 and a silver medal at the 2026 Winter Olympics, further proving his ability to perform on big stages and in high-pressure environments.

Finalists will be selected by the Professional Hockey Writers Association ahead of the NHL Awards. Regardless of the outcome, the nomination highlights Binnington’s perseverance, leadership, and lasting impact on the Blues organization and beyond.
