The Wolverines are the top overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, and they earned a trip to the Frozen Four thanks to wins over Bentley and Minnesota Duluth. The Wolverines had little trouble with Bentley, as they won 5-1 in the first round, and then they had to hold off a late rally from Minnesota Duluth to win 4-3. The Wolverines scored three goals in the first period against the Bulldogs and led 4-1 in the third period. They would give up two goals in the last 10 minutes, but held on to get the win. The Wolverines now sit at 31-7-1 on the season and are looking to make it back to the championship game for the first time since 2011. They are also trying to snap a four-game losing streak in the Frozen Four.
