Washington Capitals star Alex Ovechkin headlined the list of nominees for the NHL’s 2025-26 King Clancy Memorial Trophy, which was released on Friday.
The King Clancy Memorial Trophy was first awarded in 1988 and is presented annually “to the player who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community.”
Each player is nominated by their respective team.
