Boston has lost five straight and has fallen to the second and final Wild Card spot with 96 points, with two games left in the regular season. Columbus is fighting for the third and last spot in the Metropolitan Division. The Blue Jackets will likely need to win out, as Columbus is two points behind the Philadelphia Flyers with 92 points. Boston leads this season series 2-0 heading into this finale against Columbus. The Bruins won the series on March 29, winning Game 2 in a 4-3 shootout. Viktor Arvidsson put up the decisive goal in the shootout period and he added three assists. It was a tough loss for the Blue Jackets since they scored the first three goals of the game in the first period, but they couldn’t score again. Boston scored all of its goals in the third and Pavel Zacha scored on the power play with just 11 seconds remaining in regulation in Ohio.
