Calgary Prospect defenceman Zayne Parekh has been named to the 2024-25 OHL First All-Star Team.
This is his second back-to-back First All-Star Team selection.
The Nobleton, Ontario native scored the highest number of goals (33), assists (74) and points (107) by a defenceman this past season, becoming a sure-fire choice for the First Team designation.

When the Flames were mathematically eliminated from playoff contention this past NHL season, the 19-year-old made his debut for Calgary in the season finale against Los Angeles, making an immediate impact by scoring a goal in the ninth minute of the third period.
Parekh recently represented Canada in the pre-tournament games of the 2025 World Championship and only good word has come out. He should be a regular member of the Flames team come training camp.
Earlier, another Flames prospect Matvei Gridin of the Shawinigan Cataractes was named to the 2024-25 QMJHL All-Rookie Team.
