Fans going to the final Winnipeg Jets game of the season will walk away winners, no matter what.
Thursday, April 16, is the annual Fan Appreciation game presented by Canadian Tire.
Upon arrival, every fan will receive a card, awarding a free 12 oz fountain drink, along with an additional prize. “We’ve got a jet dog for a year being given out to one fan, a bike to more food options,” Kyle Balharry, Sr. Director of Game Presentation with True North Sports and Entertainment and the Winnipeg Jets says.Â
“Plus, we’ve got some Jets guitars to give away, which is also very exciting.”
Looking ahead to Thursday night, Balharry is excited to welcome the fans back one more time this season. “It’s always unique. It’s a night to celebrate our fans, the greatest fans in sports, quite frankly. It’s been a season of ups and downs, but a lot of great times.”
“Looking ahead to next season, Balharry says the excitement is there, despite the Jets not being in the postseason this year. “Even back to Jets 1.0, being a young kid growing up here in Winnipeg and looking forward to every season, there’s new hope. Obviously, it didn’t go the way we wanted to this year, but next season we’re going to be right back at it playing in front of the greatest fans in sports and the opportunity to once again reach where we all want to.”
The Jets take on the San Jose Sharks to wrap up the regular season on April 16 at 7 p.m.
