With all series-opening clashes in the first round of the 2026 Stanley Cup playoffs now in the rearview mirror, postseason action continued on Tuesday with four Game 2 contests.

The Montreal Canadiens, Buffalo Sabres, Vegas Golden Knights and Colorado Avalanche all looked to build upon their respective Game 1 victories.

Here’s a look at the results from Tuesday’s matchups as well as Wednesday’s playoff schedule.

Tuesday Round 1 Results, Schedule

Boston Bruins 4, Buffalo Sabres 2 (Series tied 1-1)

Montreal Canadiens vs. Tampa Bay Lightning, 7 p.m. ET (Canadiens lead series 1-0)

Utah Mammoth vs. Vegas Golden Knights, 9:30 p.m. ET (Golden Knights lead series 1-0)

Los Angeles Kings vs. Colorado Avalanche, 10 p.m. ET (Avalanche lead series 1-0)

Wednesday Round 1 Schedule

Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Philadelphia Flyers, 7 p.m. ET (Flyers lead series 2-0)

Minnesota Wild vs. Dallas Stars, 9:30 p.m. ET (Series tied 1-1)

Anaheim Ducks vs. Edmonton Oilers, 10 p.m. ET (Oilers lead series 1-0)

The Bruins bounced back from their Game 1 collapse, wrapping up an impressive performance against the Sabres at the KeyBank Center.

After a scoreless first period, Boston scored three times in the second with goals from Viktor Arvidsson, Morgan Geekie and Pavel Zacha.

Geekie’s shot came from center ice, bouncing past Sabres goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen.

Zacha scored on a power play before the end of the period for Boston before Arvidsson tallied his second goal of the night to give the Bruins a 4-0 lead early in the third.

Buffalo showed signs of life late, recording two goals in just under two minutes during the third period.

The Sabres were ultimately unable to overcome the deficit before the final buzzer sounded, though.
