Mammoth fans pumped up for first home playoff game
SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4 Sports) – Exactly two years to the day, the new Utah NHL hockey team was introduced to fans in Salt Lake City.
On Friday, those rabid fans were pumped up beyond belief for the Mammoth’s first home playoff game.
The Mammoth host the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 3 at the Delta Center, tied at one game apiece.

Fans lined up more than three hours before the puck dropped outside the arena to get ready for Friday’s crucial game.

Before the game, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman announced that the Winter Classic, the annual outdoor regular season game, will be played New Year’s Eve at Rice-Eccles Stadium between the Mammoth and the Colorado Avalanche.
