The game marked the Sabres’ highest-scoring playoff game in more than 20 years.
Buffalo leads the series 3-1, and Boston must win Game 5 to keep its season alive.
“We should be embarrassed because it was embarrassing,” Marco Sturm said. “I can cry about it whatever I want, but I also have to push my guys for the next game and make sure our intensity is going to be there.”
Game 5 is scheduled for Tuesday at KeyBank Center at 7:30 p.m.
