NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Bridgestone Arena will be under construction for a while as the ownership begins its long-term plan to turn the venue into Nashville’s “best-in-class” location for sports and entertainment.
The Nashville Predators organization is turning Bridgestone into “Smashville’s Next Stage: Broadway 2030.” The project is an effort by the Predators organization to keep the venue “modern and competitive.”
The project is currently in the “enabling phase,” which will be a series of upgrades during the team’s offseason to enhance the game day experience for fans while laying the foundation for the larger-scale renovations that are coming in 2027, 2028 and 2029.

This offseason will see new escalators installed along Demonbreun Street to allow seamless access to all four public levels at Bridgestone. The main staircase connecting the concourse to the club and upper levels will be replaced with a system that connects all levels and suites.
Other connectivity and mechanical improvements will be part of this offseason’s construction, as the larger-scale renovations will be completed in phases to allow each Predators season to continue without interruption. The Predators ownership hopes to have most of the project completed by the 2029-2030 season.
“We’re excited to be starting this process this summer by getting the arena ready for its next stage,” Predators and Bridgestone Arena Chief Strategy Officer Kyle Clayton said. “This three-to-four-year journey that we are about to embark on is going to be incredible as we transform Bridgestone Arena into a best-in-class venue for patrons, players and performers.”
The renovations will eventually include upgrades in security with the installation of Evolv, an X-ray weapon-detection system that allows for a “frictionless, efficient entry process.”
