The Louisville Minor Hockey Association and its families recently extended their heartfelt appreciation to one, Richard Layo. Born and raised in the North Country, Layo’s career would span from ECAC D1 hockey to playing in the International Hockey League for various teams. Layo recently donated funds to assist in paying ice fees for its registered players to help ease the financial burden for families, said a press release from the Association. His act of kindness does not only inspire but ignites that interest and passion to learn and know the game, not only in its players but their families as well.
