The Buffalo Sabres are bringing back the popular Beer Sabre for Game 7 against the Montreal Canadiens on Monday night at KeyBank Center, but availability will be limited. The custom 20-ounce plastic sword cups will go on sale at 5:30 p.m. before the 7:30 p.m. puck drop and will be sold only while supplies last at selected concession areas throughout the arena’s 100, 200, and 300 levels.
The Beer Sabre has become one of the most recognizable fan items during Buffalo’s playoff run through the team’s partnership with Labatt USA. Demand for Sabres merchandise has skyrocketed throughout the postseason as Buffalo reached the playoffs for the first time since 2011 and advanced this deep into the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time in nearly two decades.
The Sabres forced the deciding game with an 8-3 victory in Game 6 after scoring seven unanswered goals in Montreal. Goaltender Alex Lyon was replaced in the first period after allowing three goals on four shots, while Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stopped 18 shots in relief to help secure the win.
Fan interest for Game 7 has driven ticket prices through the roof. As of Sunday night, Ticketmaster listed entry-level seats in the 300 level starting at $307, with premium seats exceeding $1,200. StubHub prices began at $290, while lower-bowl seats on both resale platforms were priced above $500. For fans unable to attend inside KeyBank Center, the Sabres are also hosting a playoff watch party at Canalside.
The winner of Monday’s game will advance to the Eastern Conference Final against the Carolina Hurricanes, who swept both previous playoff rounds and have not played since May 9.
