The Sagueneens took down the Moncton Wildcats 5-1 in Game 6 to win the QMJHL championship and end the hopes of having Moncton goalie Goalie Rudy Guimond (169th, 2023) and forward Grayden Robertson-Palmer (204th, 2025) joining Everett Silvertips forward Carter Bear (15th, 2025) in the Memorial Cup.

Guimond, committed to play at Harvard, finished these playoffs with a 14-5-2 record and 2.42 GAA and a .910 save percentage.

The Memorial Cup starts this weekend in Kelowna. Bear’s Everett team plays Chicoutimi on Saturday. Bear has 22 points in 18 playoff games going into this tournament.
