The Czech media has the Detroit Red Wings as a possible favorite to land Czech Extraliga standout goalie Michal Postava.
But respected Czech journalist Pavel Barta writes that he believes Postava has a better option.
“Behind (Cam) Talbot and (Petr) Mrázek are (Trey) Augustine and (Sebastian) Cossa, junior champions and 1st round draft picks,” Barta wrote on social media. “A better chance seems to be with the Edmonton Oilers where they do not have such goalies in reserve.”
The Red Wings, Oilers, Seattle Kraken and Utah Mammoth are said to be interested in Postava. His decision could come in the next few days.

K zájemcům patří @DetroitRedWings. Ale za Tabotem a Mrázkem čekají Augustine a Cossa, jun. šampioni a 1. kola draftu. Lepší šance se jeví u @EdmontonOilers, kde takové gólmany v záloze nemají. https://t.co/Uc6chTu1qb

On Red Wings advantage is that they have Czech goalie Petr Mrazek on the roster, but the Utah Mammoth Karel Vejmelka, a Czech who played several season for Brno Kometa
