Detroit Red Wings 2025 draft pick Brent Solomon (109th) scored his first goal of the series to help the Sioux Falls Stampede record a 4-3 double-overtime triumph against the Muskegon Lumberjacks to capture the USHL’s Clark Cup championship.
Solomon gave the Stampede their first lead of the game when he tapped in a backdoor pass from Cooper Soller for a power play tally to make it a 2-1 game. It was Solomon’s fifth goal of the postseason.
The Lumberjacks had rallied from a 3-1 deficit to force overtime. Joey McCrina scored the game-winner at 6:43 of the second overtime.
Solomon, headed to Wisconsin to play college hockey, has had a strong 2025-26 season. He put up 53 points with 24 goals in 54 games for the Stampede. In the Clark championship series, he two points and 16 shots on goal in four games.
