Martin St-Louis loses patience with Montreal reporter over Canadiens OT loss lineup question

The identity of the Montreal journalist who caused Martin St-Louis to lose patience during his press conference has officially been revealed.
The Montreal Canadiens head coach clearly did not appreciate a question regarding his overtime decisions in Game 2 against the Carolina Hurricanes.
And it was Guillaume Lefrançois of La Presse who drew the Quebec-born coach’s frustration.
“So a Montreal reporter asked Habs coach Marty St. Louis why he didn’t shorten the bench during OT and had the 4th line on the ice.
MSL didn’t look too pleased.”
Martin St-Louis gave Guillaume Lefrançois quite a look after the question about the fourth line in overtime
Karine Hains also shared her own observation of the sequence on social media.
“St-Louis did not like Lefrancois’ question about why his fourth line was on the ice early in overtime. Looked like he was giving him the ‘Shane Wright death stare.'”
The context behind the question makes the situation extremely interesting.
Lefrançois was pointing directly at a specific Martin St-Louis decision.
Why keep the fourth line on the ice early in overtime?
Why not shorten the bench during the most crucial moment of the game?
That is precisely the kind of legitimate question a sports journalist should ask, but still.
The loss came quickly in overtime after an Oliver Kapanen mistake. And several Montreal analysts are now questioning the head coach’s decisions.
“Here’s the game-winning goal by Ehlers in overtime. The one who’s the big culprit is Kapanen. He’s too scared to take the hit and doesn’t want to put in that extra skate to clear the puck deep into the zone…
Kapanen played 7 playoff games and he was completely invisible.”

But St-Louis clearly did not appreciate it.
For Lefrançois, it is probably an interesting moment as well.
The La Presse journalist has covered the Canadiens for several years.
And he knows perfectly well when questions like that need to be asked after an important loss.
