A pair of Florida Panthers made a mark in Finland’s 4-1 win over Czechia in quarterfinal action from the World Championship in Switzerland.
Anton Lundell scored the eventual game-winning goal 14:32 into the first period to give the Finns a two-goal lead. Lundell played 16:24, was credited with four shots on goal, won six of his 11 draws, and finished the game with a plus-one rating. The goal was his fourth of the tournament.
Aleksander Barkov had the primary assist on Konsta Helenius’ marker which put Finland up by three early in the middle frame. Barkov went seven of 11 in the dot, had one shot on goal, and finished with a plus-one rating while logging 18:05 of ice time.

Sandis Vilmanis saw his electrifying run at the tournament come to end in Latvia’s 2-0 loss to Norway. Vilmanis logged 22:34 of time, registered a game-high nine shots on goal, took a first period penalty, and finished with a minus-one rating for Latvians, who finished sixth.
