COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Damon Severson underwent successful surgery to repair his injured shoulder.

He will miss the rest of the season, according to the team’s general manager, Don Waddell.

Severson recorded eight goals and 24 assists this season. He also ranks third on Columbus’ average ice time.

Severson had 93 shots on goal and had a +18 plus/minus rating in 71 games this season.
