John Tortorella has cast doubt on his future with the Vegas Golden Knights, saying his time behind the bench could come to an end as early as the end of June.

He announced it in the middle of the Stanley Cup Final!

A surprising statement from a man currently leading his team in the Final.

As a reminder, Vegas shocked the hockey world in March by firing Bruce Cassidy and replacing him with Tortorella.

In the end, it turned out to be a successful move.

The Golden Knights are now battling for the second Stanley Cup in franchise history.

But the original agreement was reportedly only temporary.

“Everybody knows that I came on here and, end of June, I’m done, as far as with Vegas.” Tortorella said.

The coach clarified where that arrangement came from.

“And Kelly, and I made that agreement when we 1st talked,” he added.

Clearly, Tortorella and the Golden Knights do absolutely nothing like everyone else.

An uncertain future for veteran coach John Tortorella

The original agreement was clear on paper.

Win or lose, Vegas may have to find a new head coach for next season.

As for Tortorella, he is not hiding his uncertainty.

He admits he is overwhelmed by everything that has happened and plans to make a decision only after the playoff run is over.
