The exact details of the failed Matthew Knies trade continue to emerge, as David Pagnotta has provided new information involving David Reinbacher.
According to him, one of the Maple Leafs’ final offers specifically involved Reinbacher, as they pushed hard to acquire him, but Kent Hughes did not budge.
It was on the show “Hello Hockey” that the insider added this nuance.
Someone informed him that the Leafs had pushed to obtain Reinbacher.
However, the insider immediately expressed some reservations.
“I don’t think he was part of the trade,” he clarified regarding the young defenseman.
Clearly, Kent Hughes refused all offers involving Reinbacher.
