The staff at Downtown Raleigh City Guide started a petition in support of opening the Carter-Finley Stadium as a Stanley Cup Final watch party. The game is Sunday at 8 p.m.
Their instagram post read in part:
This historic achievement deserves to be celebrated by all fans. However, Lenovo Center sold out Game 6 watch party tickets in under an hour… By opening Carter-Finley Stadium for the Stanley Cup Final watch parties, everyone can have a chance to come together and cheer for the Canes.
The Carter-Finley Stadium has a capacity of 57,000 people.
