The Carolina Hurricanes aim to hoist the Stanley Cup as the series shifts back to Vegas against the Golden Knights.

Off back-to-back wins, the Carolina Hurricanes are now just one win away from their second championship and first in 20 years as they head back to Sin City on Sunday night for Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals against the Vegas Golden Knights. Carolina trailed the best-of-seven series 2-1 after Game 3, but rebounded to win Game 4 in Vegas after changing to goaltender Brandon Bussi, who’s posted 46 saves in his first two Finals starts. Vegas will be without center William Karlsson, who exited Game 5 with an upper-body injury and will be a huge missing piece to the Golden Knights offensive attack, having posted nine points in 15 playoff games.

In his first Stanley Cup Finals, Golden Knights winger Mitch Marner has been electric, scoring three goals and assisting on five more to add to his career-high 29 points in the postseason. Marner, the No. 4 pick in the 2015 NHL Draft, spent nine seasons with Toronto, where he never advanced past the second round until being acquired by Vegas via trade during the offseason. 

Hurricanes center Logan Stankoven leads all Carolina skaters with 11 goals in the playoffs, including a pair of goals during the Finals, with Carolina winning both games in which the 23-year-old Kamloops, British Columbia native has scored. Stankoven, acquired by Carolina at the trade deadline in 2025 from Dallas, scored a career-high 21 goals during the regular season and has four goals in his last seven games.
