We have important news involving a promising young defenseman in the Montreal Canadiens organization.
Young blueliner Bryce Pickford is expected to undergo surgery in the near future after reportedly playing the entire season with a shoulder injury.
Journalist Scott Wheeler was the one who reported the news.
It’s a major health update regarding the young defenseman.
According to Wheeler, Pickford is set to undergo a fairly significant procedure, making this an important situation for the Canadiens to monitor closely.
It’s actually incredible to learn that Pickford may have played the entire year with a shoulder injury and still put up those kinds of numbers!
It clearly didn’t slow him down too much.
Pickford is also expected to play with the Laval Rocket next season (or potentially the Montreal Canadiens)… which is why this surgery becomes such an important development to follow.
Bryce Pickford earns CHL Defenceman of the Year honours despite playing through injury
Pickford recently received a major individual honor as well.
He was named Defenseman of the Year in the Canadian Hockey League.
It’s an award that puts him in elite company.
Winning that award while playing through an injury says a lot about the young defenseman’s talent and determination!
The goal of the surgery is to get him fully healthy again.

Now it remains to be seen how his recovery process unfolds ahead of next season.
Taking care of this shoulder issue during the summer would be the best possible outcome for him!
