Notably, his teammate Markus Ruck, one of the Ruck twins, praised his leadership and impact on the team.

It was journalist Steven Ellis who gathered the comments.

He asked Ruck what it’s like to play alongside the defenseman.

The answer is very interesting.

Ruck first highlighted Pickford’s offensive talent.

He spoke about his contribution on the ice with a sense of humor.

“It’s pretty easy to get assists when you’re feeding back the puck. He’s got a great shot,” he said.

But it was his leadership that impressed Ruck the most.

According to him, Pickford is also an excellent leader away from the rink.

Ruck explained, among other things, that the team struggled during defenseman Bryce Pickford’s absence and that his return completely changed things.

Ruck described the effect of Pickford’s return.

“The whole room was more energized just having him back in the locker room,” he shared.

Ruck said he didn’t fully realize the extent of Pickford’s impact until he returned to the lineup.

The defenseman is also expected to undergo surgery this summer.
