RALEIGH, N.C. (WBTV) – The Carolina Hurricanes will have their championship parade on Saturday in Raleigh, less than a week after they won their first Stanley Cup in two decades.
WBTV will be live from Raleigh with coverage of the parade starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 20. Tune in live using the video player up above.
Saturday’s parade was set to begin at 11 a.m. and run through Downtown Raleigh, past the North Carolina State Capitol. Following the parade, players, coaches and special guests were expected to deliver remarks to the crowd.
Fans do not need tickets to attend the celebration.
Caniacs who are unable to make it to Raleigh on Saturday can catch WBTV’s streaming coverage of the parade from 11 a.m.-11:30 a.m., and then more streaming coverage of the team’s podium rally at the end of the parade route.
Note: WBTV does not expect to live stream the entire parade.

The champion Canes steamrolled their way through the NHL playoffs before capping off their title run with a Game 6 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights on June 14.
The cup now belongs to the Canes, led by coach Rod Brind’Amour, who also led the team to its 2006 title.
The Stanley Cup was brought to Raleigh, North Carolina on June 15.

Parade route for Carolina Hurricanes celebration
Saturday’s parade will start on Hillsborough Street at St. Mary’s Street and will continue toward the capitol building before turning right on Salisbury Street.
The parade will then turn left on Morgan Street, and then right on Fayetteville Street.
The route will end along Fayetteville Street at Davie Street.

A stage will be set up at the end of the route where fans, players, coaches and special guests will have a rally.
The Hurricanes said road closures will begin as early as 3:30 a.m.-5:30 a.m. Saturday.
Where to park in Downtown Raleigh
Several decks and lots in Downtown Raleigh will offer free parking on Saturday.
According to the city, free parking destinations including the following parking deck locations:
Cabarrus Street – 436 South Salisbury StreetMoore Square Deck – 233 South Wilmington Street City Center Deck – 429 South Wilmington Street City Hall Parking Deck – 201 West Morgan Street Wilmington Street Station Deck – 117 South Wilmington StreetÂ
Free parking details can also be found on the city’s website here. Some locations, including the Performing Arts Center and Convention Center Decks, will offer paid parking.
North Carolina Gov. Josh Stein said all state parking decks will be free on Saturday and shared a graphic with highlighted locations.

Weather forecast for Raleigh
The forecast for Saturday, June 20 in Raleigh has shaped up to be a nice one.
WBTV’s First Alert Meteorologists say this weekend will be warm and mostly dry for the Carolinas, including in Raleigh. The capital city is expected to see warm temperatures in the 80s with sunny skies on Saturday.
Temperatures will warm up into the mid- and upper 80s by Saturday afternoon.
No rain was in the forecast for Saturday.
