Gov. Josh Stein gave Carolina Hurricanes fans one more reason to celebrate during the team’s Parade of Champions in Raleigh. On Saturday, the governor declared a stretch of Edwards Mill Road “Hurricanes Highway.”Stein tied the announcement to the excitement surrounding the Canes’ Stanley Cup win, saying fans will “feel the storm surge before you even hit the parking lot.”The Hurricanes’ championship parade began at 11 a.m. Saturday in downtown Raleigh.
