Tonight, the Montreal Canadiens and Columbus Blue Jackets agreed to a swap of AHL forwards. The Canadiens are sending forward Luke Tuch to the Blue Jackets in exchange for forward Hunter McKown. Tuch played 68 games for the Laval Rocket, had 14 points on nine goals and five assists; he was a plus-three. In five playoff games, he was held pointless and was a plus-one. McKown, in 63 AHL games, had 25 points on nine goals and 16 assists. He was a -12 with a shorthanded goal and a game-winning goal. In eight playoff games, he had a goal and an assist and was even in plus-minus.

Tuch, in three seasons with the Laval Rocket, appeared in 114 games, recording 28 points on 15 goals and 13 assists. He was a plus-eight with a power-play goal and a game-winning goal. In 13 playoff games, he had a goal and an assist and was a plus-one. McKown played in 184 games over three AHL seasons, all with the Monsters. He had 80 points on 31 goals and 49 assists. McKown was a -17 with five power-play goals, a shorthanded goal, and four game-winning goals. In 25 playoff games, he had eight points on four goals and four assists. He was even in plus/minus with a power-play goal and a game-winning goal.
