LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The seventh annual Battle For Vegas once again brought together some of the biggest names in Las Vegas sports, with the event raising $250,000 for local charities while giving fans a night of entertainment at Las Vegas Ballpark.

Hosted by the Athletics, the annual charity softball game featured players from the Vegas Golden Knights taking on members of the Las Vegas Raiders in front of a packed crowd.

The Golden Knights defeated the Raiders 37-28 in a game filled with home runs, highlight-reel plays and plenty of laughs.

Beyond the final score, players from both organizations emphasized what the event means to the Las Vegas community. The annual game gives fans a chance to interact with their favorite athletes in a more relaxed setting while raising money for charitable causes across Southern Nevada.

Even after the final out, many players stayed on the field signing autographs and taking photos with fans. Golden Knights goaltender Carter Hart remained on the field for nearly 40 minutes after the game ended, making sure everyone waiting had a chance to meet him.

Battle For Vegas has become one of the city’s signature offseason sporting events, showcasing the relationship between Las Vegas’ professional sports teams while giving back to the community that supports them.

This year’s event raised $250,000, continuing the tradition of using the annual softball game to benefit local charities.
