North Billerica native Marc McLaughlin has re-signed with the New Jersey Devils on a one-year, two-way contract.
The deal pays McLaughlin $850,000 at the National Hockey League level and $350,000 at the American Hockey League level.
The 26-year-old forward split time last season between New Jersey and Utica of the AHL. He went scoreless in seven games with the Devils. With Utica, he posted a 6-8-14 line in 23 games.
McLaughlin played at Cushing Academy and the USHL before enrolling at Boston College, where he played four seasons. He was a rare two-time captain at BC.
As a pro, he had several stints with his hometown Boston Bruins. Overall, he’s played in 35 NHL games (6 goals, assist) between Boston and New Jersey.
